Before you go out to make a Connection

Hi All.

I made a video on Facebook because sometimes speaking is easier to do when writing.   While in the doctor’s waiting room an article caught my eye.  It was about a person who joined a group of like minded people and then found themselves not wanting to be there anymore.  While the media has picked up or books are being written about the lure of finding ones tribe or making a connection the why is not so discussed.  I believe that we as humans are connected to both the Earth and to God.  We take human form and here we are -connected.  With our technology we have been driven further away from the connection to the Earth despite that fact that it provides for just about everything we need to survive.  The Need to connect with others has two factors one humans are social by nature and our innate connection to God or higher power or whatever someone calls it.  We need to connect on all levels to grow to our potential with both other humans and with God (or self-awareness) if we do not get that we when seek out the best ways to heal or hurt what is missing.

If the body, mind and soul are always expanding, adapting and realigning it would make sense to do so in an environment that is supportive, naturing and hopefully allowing us to expand ourselves.  The lure for  quick fixes and fantasy relationships, ideologies, or even religions or very convincing persons is strong when seen from an overwhelming need.   In no way is this a judgement because we all experience needs, desires, hurt, suffering etc.  We all hope to expand and grow within our everyday life.  But the alternatives available become lack luster over time and or become distractions to the real goal to heal or sustain that connection in our everyday lives.  Fostering our self-awareness is often replaced with consumerism and or escapism both of which are not sustainable but rather demanding on our time and our bodies.   Self-awareness is a personal inner journey enhanced by meditation and personal surrender to the patterns of behavior, thinking acting that feed our hurts, lacks or fear based issues.  Self-awareness does not take away pains or promise perfection surrender to another person, place or thing but rather a strength to  work through things, mend hurt and emotional needs, be self responsible, be more present, connection with nature, make better connections and move away from bad or harmful ones. To let Go.

Ask yourself the following  questions when you ponder there you are and how you would like to live.

  1. Am I free to leave – anytime for any reason – not just words you can but how you can and with anyone else you want to leave with as well
  2. can I  question openly any thing that is happening, suggested or demanded without cause for exclusion, backlash or punishment of any kind.
  3. Am I free to love whom I choose or not to love
  4. Can I make choices and discuss options regarding all aspects of my life
  5. Can one study and express opposing opinions about all topic’s
  6. Am I required to do anything for the sake of others that I have not done in the past
  7. Can I be a leader or am I always a member
  8. Do any of my contributions exclude me from being independent enough to leave

May you find your connection!  Be Well.
